About two or three times a week, I get emails from people who want to know if I offer any courses that will help them become better writers. Generally, these aren’t fiction writers. These are people who write mostly nonfiction. Sometimes they just want to improve their overall writing for their jobs. Most of the time, they want to start applying for bigger and better paying freelance jobs. And they know they need to improve their overall writing skills if they hope to land those jobs.
Until now, I’ve focused mainly on coaching writers to create their freelance writer careers. But I’m currently working on a new 52-week e-course designed to help subscribers improve their overall writing skills.
The new e-course is called How to Write Better, More Powerful, More Engaging Nonfiction – So You FINALLY Get The Freelance Assignments You’ve Always Wanted!
It’s a long title, I know. But it says exactly what the course will help writers do.
The entire course takes 52 weeks. But subsribers pay for the course by the month, so they can sign up for the course and try it for a few months. Then, if they decide it’s not for them, they can unsubscribe and they won’t be billed any longer.
There are a couple of reasons I decided to make this such a long course. First, each weekly lesson is short. It’s just enough information for the writer to practice that week without having to read and study page after page of text.
Second, learning to write better, more powerful, more engaging nonfiction takes time. It’s like any other skill. It must be practiced, over and over again, before any level of mastery is attained. I don’t want writers to think I will turn them into better nonfiction writers overnight. Sure. Some of the tips in the course will instantly improve their nonfiction. But it’s the constant, consistent tips and reminders each week that will help them improve their writing the most.
Stay tuned for the launch of this new product!
